I'm getting very deep into my redesign of Gojira. Trying to creat the perfect godzilla.. Right now I've made one in drawing, but as I redraw him, and sculpt him I know he will change and hopefully like some of my more favoride creations he will change into a final form that will stay true for the rest of time. But right now I am here to think about what makes Godzilla... Godzilla? The imense size? the power? the dinasour within? We have seen godzilla recreate as an Iguana... and several other lamer spoofs of different names.. But What makes the original godzilla truly stand taller and mightier than the spoofs and recreations (Gino 1998 tristar godzilla)? We have seen him slim, Bulky, friendly, overly aggressive and whatever you call the 2000 series godzilla... But what truly makes him so? I'm coming to find its a combination, Unlike a dinasour He has a different facial design allowing him to have more expressions from sorrow to rage.. So far I have managed to maintain this while trying to give him a more Dinasour feel.. I'm finding it very hard to capture in 3D...

Godzilla is the embodiement of Nature, of anger, passion, sarrow, and suffering. He is our destroyer and our protector, often missunderstood and abused. He's the truly a a firey vengence, The best way to capture the King of the monsters is to capture the inner rage we all have, of everytime we have been wronged and hurt. but we cannot forget the compassion, even as he crushes tokyo he still spares us, protects and even shows compassion for those who have stood up for him, Godzilla isn't a monster just a reminder of the mistakes mankind makes.. our follies and wrong doings on eachother and nature. Sometimes I really think the world would be a better place if we had a Godzilla watching over all of us.. Like when our mothers would watch over a shoulders as children. Punishing our mistakes and wrong doings, and guiding and protecting us when we most need it, and rewarding our good deeds by letting us live!

Ok thats my thoughts on that for now, as I try to capture the true essence of Godzilla...
